white BENGAL TIGER

Image
The white Bengal tigers are distinctive due to the color of their fur. The white fur caused by a lack of the pigment  pheomelanin , which is found in Bengal tigers with orange color fur. When compared to Bengal tigers, the white Bengal tigers tend to grow faster and heavier than the orange Bengal tiger. They also tend to be somewhat bigger at birth, and as fully grown adults. White Bengal tigers are fully grown when they are 2–3 years of age. White male tigers reach weights of 200 to 230 kilograms and can grow up to 3 meters in length. As with all tigers, the white Bengal tiger’s stripes are like fingerprints, with no two tigers having the same pattern. The stripes of the tiger are a pigmentation of the skin; if an individual were to be shaved, its distinctive coat pattern would still be visible. [2]  For a white Bengal tiger to be born, both parents must carry the unusual gene for white colouring, which only happens naturally about once in 10,000 births. [2]  Dark-str...

FROG

Image
A   frog   is any member of a diverse and largely   carnivorous   group of short-bodied, tailless   amphibians   composing the   order   Anura   ( Ancient Greek   an-,   without +   oura , tail). The   oldest fossil "proto-frog"   appeared in the   early Triassic   of   Madagascar , but   molecular clock dating   suggests their origins may extend further back to the   Permian , 265 million years ago. Frogs are widely distributed, ranging from the   tropics   to   subarctic   regions, but the greatest concentration of   species diversity   is in   tropical rainforests . There are approximately 4,800 recorded species, accounting for over 85% of extant amphibian species. They are also one of the five most diverse   vertebrate   orders. The  body plan  of an adult frog is generally characterized by a stout body, protruding  eyes...

ASIAN ELEPHANTS

Image
Elephants  are large mammals of the family  Elephantidae  and the order  Proboscidea . Three species are recognised, the  African bush elephant  ( Loxodonta africana ), the  African forest elephant  ( L. cyclotis ), and the  Asian elephant  ( Elephas maximus ). Elephants are scattered throughout  sub-Saharan Africa ,  South Asia , and  Southeast Asia . Elephantidae is the only surviving family of the order Proboscidea; other, now extinct, members of the order include  deinotheres ,  gomphotheres ,  mammoths , and  mastodons . Male African elephants are the largest  extant   terrestrial animals  and can reach a height of 4 m (13 ft) and weigh 7,000 kg (15,000 lb). All elephants have several distinctive features, the most notable of which is a long trunk or  proboscis , used for many purposes, particularly breathing, lifting water, and grasping objects. Their...

GAVA REDA

Image
The evergreen forest, Radhanagari, lies on the border of Kolhapur district. The bison sanctuary at Radhanagari is full of spectacular sights. The famous Dajipur sanctuary is just 24 kilometers from Radhanagari. The famous Phonda Ghat is at a short distance from here. Though the area of Dajipur is smaller than Radhanagari, the animal life here is pretty rich. Dajipur is located 1200 meters above sea level therefore the atmosphere is pretty chill here. In the Dajipur sanctuary mighty Indian bisons (local name Gawa) are seen. Wild deers, chitals and other wild animals are also spotted here, besides a host of exotic birds. It is a great place for botanical excursions.
